Commencement of New Principal

Release Date: 11-Oct-2011 | Go Back

Following her appointment in May, Mrs Megan Krimmer commenced as Principal of Roseville College on Monday 10 October; the beginning of Term 4.

An accomplished educator, who is passionate about the education of girls, Mrs Krimmer is returning to Roseville College where she has previously been a classroom teacher, Year Adviser and long-standing Head of the History Department.

‘There is a sense of ‘coming home’ in returning to Roseville College,’ says Mrs Krimmer. ‘I look forward to augmenting Roseville’s strengths, such as the College’s enviable sense of community, its superb pastoral care and its excellent academic reputation,  and I particularly look forward to encouraging each girl to achieve her personal best in all pursuits, within a caring, Christian learning environment.’

Mrs Krimmer has been highly successful in senior executive positions, most recently as Director of Curriculum at Abbotsleigh, where she has been teaching for the past five years. In an educational career spanning over 20 years, Mrs Krimmer has undertaken research into the education of girls and has gained extensive experience in educational leadership, pastoral care, curriculum development, service learning and co-curricular activities.

Mrs Krimmer has had a long-term relationship with Roseville College as a past staff member and parent – her daughters also attended Roseville College. This has given her a wonderful understanding of the Roseville community and an appreciation of girls from Kindergarten through to Year 12.

In addition to her professional memberships, Mrs Krimmer holds a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma in Education and a Masters of Education from Sydney University. She has convened the Association of Independent Schools History Committee, served as Deputy Chair of the Modern History Board Curriculum Committee and has participated in Board of Studies advisory panels.
