Joy Yeo Centre

The Joy Yeo Centre, named in honour of former Principal, Mrs Joy Yeo, was officially opened in February 2008. The Centre provides outstanding opportunities and will benefit all girls with state of the art performance and teaching facilities.

Facilities include:

• a 350 seat tiered auditorium, with state of the art acoustics, lighting and sound equipment – the ideal setting for any musical or dramatic performance or presentation, from a musical soiree or recital to a full stage musical production
• a purpose built drama studio for teaching all aspects of drama, and for classes to rehearse and perform in a more intimate space
• dedicated storage for costumes, props and sets, and dressing rooms for performances
• a full range of music specialist rooms for both Senior School and Junior School – orchestra and band rehearsal rooms, elective music classrooms, recital rooms, practice rooms, a computer and keyboard laboratory, and much needed instrument storage
• recording studio and video editing suite linked to performance areas
• music and drama staffrooms
• the auditorium will be equipped with the latest presentation technology, providing outstanding facilities for lectures, seminars and presentations, for use by girls, staff and parents and across all areas of the curriculum
• the spacious glass foyer to the Joy Yeo Centre will be utilised for many functions by all sections of our community and will be an ideal space for the display of girls’ work. This foyer will flow onto a central courtyard which will become the heart of our campus.
